Practically everyone has in some way been affected by breast cancer. Whether it is you who have fought this too common battle, a family member, or friend the hardship faced while fighting this disease both emotionally and financially is overwhelming.
The Christina S. Walsh foundation is a non profit organization which was created in Christina's memory after she lost her 2 1/2 year battle with breast cancer at the young age of 32.

The foundation mainly helps patients who's treatment is not covered by their insurance, receive proper care. Wigs which are very expensive, are provided for patients along with transportation to doctor's appointments, camisoles for mastectomy patients, hospice care and other needs. Surprisingly, many of these necessities are not covered by insurance companies or patients have been dropped by their insurance because they have been out of work.
Hopefully someday soon we will live in a world without breast cancer and there won't be a need for such foundations. But until that day it is so important to help those women and their families in any way possible. The Christina S.
